Cookie policy
information on the use of cookies
Without prejudice to the obligation referred to in Article 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Code on the protection of personal data) Alpha Trading S.p.A. (e/o OilB s.r.l.), in accordance with the provisions contained in document no. 3118884 “Identification of simplified methods for the information and the acquisition of consent for the use of cookies” published by the Guarantor for the protection of personal data (www.garanteprivacy.it/cookie), provides the following information about cookies installed on your domain www.alphatrading.it.
Policy Privacy Cookie
Alphatrading.it stores information in small text files on the user’s computer. These files are called cookies.
There are different types of cookies and you can specify whether all types of cookies, some types or none can be saved on your computer. If you do not accept any type of cookie, you may not be able to view some websites and take advantage of personalization features (for example, viewing local news, weather reports or stock quotes).
A cookie is a file created by an Internet site for the purpose of storing information about the user in the system, such as the preferences expressed by the user while exploring the site. For example, if the user searches for a flight time on an airline website, the site may create a cookie that contains the user’s itinerary. Or the cookie may contain a record of the pages visited within the site. This information will be used by the site to personalize the display that will be presented to the user on their next visit.
Personal identity information may also be stored in cookies. Personal identity information is information that can be used to identify or contact a person, such as a name, e-mail address, home or business address, or telephone number. In any case, a website can only access information personally provided by the user. For example, the site cannot detect the e-mail address unless the user provides it directly, nor can it access other information on the user’s computer.
Cookies saved on your computer can only be read by the website that created them, the files that contain them have in fact the name composed of the URL of the website that created them.
Different types of cookies
In the provision of 8 May 2014, the Guarantor identifies two macro categories of cookies:
Technical cookies
These are cookies normally transmitted personally by the site manager for purposes strictly related to the good and correct functioning of the site itself. This family of cookies includes:
Browsing (or session) cookies
These cookies are necessary to guarantee the normal use of the website and its services, allowing, for example, to authenticate to reserved areas or to make a purchase.
Functional cookies
These cookies, although not essential, improve the functionality of the site as they allow the user to express persistent preferences regarding some aspects of navigation (for example selecting the language or memorizing some favorite products within an e-commerce site).
Analytics (or statistical) cookies
They are considered “technical cookies” when used directly by the site manager to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site.
Profiling cookies
Returning to the definition given by the Privacy Guarantor, profiling cookies “are aimed at creating profiles relating to the user and are used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the net”.
Permanent and temporary cookies
A permanent cookie remains stored as a file on the computer even after the browser is closed and can be read by the website that created it the next time the user visits the site.
A temporary cookie remains stored only for the duration of the current session and is removed from the computer when the session is closed: this closure can be caused by a specific command, by closing the browser or by the use of a URL different from that of the site that generated the cookie.
First-party and third-party cookies
First-party cookies are those created by the website being viewed, or sent to it, and are generally used to store information such as the preferences of the user who is visiting the site.
Third-party cookies are cookies created by a website other than the one displayed, or sent to it. Third-party websites typically provide some of the website content you see. For example, many sites use advertising from third-party websites who, in turn, may use cookies. Cookies of this type are generally used to record the use of a web page by the user for advertising or marketing purposes. Third-party cookies can be permanent or temporary.
How can I manage the use of Cookies?
In addition to what is indicated in this document, the User can manage preferences relating to Cookies directly within their browser and prevent – for example – third parties from installing them. Through the browser preferences it is also possible to delete Cookies installed in the past, including the Cookie in which the consent to the installation of Cookies by this site is possibly saved. It is important to note that by disabling all Cookies, the functioning of this site may be compromised. The User can find information on how to manage Cookies in his browser at the following addresses:
Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari e Microsoft Internet Explorer
The domain www.alphatrading.it uses exclusively technical cookies
